A high leafy canopy of mature maples shades this campground that runs along a low ridge on the shore of Lake of the Pines. The 273-acre lake offers excellent paddling and fishing with a scenic backdrop of hilly terrain covered in birch, pines, and hardwoods. You will be surrounded by a chorus of songbirds while on or near the water in the early mornings and late afternoons.

The Lake of the Pines Nature Trail begins at the boat landing and runs through hardwoods and hemlocks along the base of the ridge between the campground and the lake. Most of the trail is set back from the lakeshore with several short spurs to the shoreline offering scenic views. The trail is used by almost everyone who stays at the campground and provides an excellent after-dinner stroll when the sun lights up the opposite shore. The Nature Trail ends in the hills at the north end of the lake.

A wood stairway between sites 113 and 114 provides access to the Nature Trail and a small swimming area.

There are 30 non-electric sites available for tent and RV/trailer camping (back-in only). Every site has a fire ring, picnic table, parking spur and tent area. Campground amenities include drinking water (hand pump) and accessible vault toilets. All 30 sites are reservable.

Lakeside Campsites with Lake Access
There are no lakefront sites, but several are close to the lake and have footpaths leading down to the shoreline and the Nature Trail: 103, 104, 105, 112, 113, 114, & 115

A public boat landing with a paved ramp, trailer parking area and a launch pier is near the campground entrance. A paved pathway leads from the parking area to a large, accessible fishing pier.
