This campground is on the west shore of Sailor Lake (168 acres) in a secluded area of the Chequamegon-Nicolet. The campground is especially popular for ATV riders and adventure motorcyclists on the Flambeau Motorized Trail System. Anglers will find abundant Panfish, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike in the shallow waters of the lake.

A young forest of birch, aspen, maple, and oak shade the campground; every site is at least partially shaded. The terrain is flat, and most sites have long, level parking spurs. There are two open lakeside lawns for picnicking and group activities, but no tables or grills. There is no swimming beach.

The campground offers 26 standard campsites. 23 are available for tent and RV/trailer camping (max length varies, see list below) and 3 sites are walk-in tent only. Every site has a parking spur, tent area, picnic table, and fire ring. 14 sites are reservable and 12 are available as first-come, first-served. Campground amenities include drinking water (electric well) and vault toilets.

Lakeside Campsites with Lake Access
There are six sites near the lake with at least partial views of the water through a layer of foliage: 5, 6, 17, 23, 24, & 25. Site #5 is the only one with unobstructed views of the lake.

A public boat landing and picnic area are on the north shore of the lake, about one mile from the campground. The landing has a gravel turnaround, trailer parking area, launch pier, and a paved ramp. The scenic and shady picnic area has a shelter, tables, grills, and excellent views of the lake.
