Tall pine, hemlock and spruce shade this scenic campground located on a small bay of Laurel Lake (249 acres). The lake is part of the Eagle River-Three Lakes Chain which features 26 connected lakes and over 11,000 acres of water. The chain provides excellent opportunities for paddling, boating, fishing, water-skiing, or just cruising around in a pontoon. Dozens of lakeside resorts, restaurants and bars have dock access.
The campground offers 12 campsites in two loops among pines and hemlocks. Pine needles carpet the ground. All 12 sites are available for tent and RV/trailer camping (back-in only, see list below). All sites offer at least partial shade and nine are lakeside. Each site has a tent area, picnic table, fire ring and parking spur. The campsites are spacious with flat, level spurs. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and a boat landing. 8 sites are reservable and 4 are first-come, first-served. There are no electric hook-ups.
The campgroundās two loops are about a 0.3-mile apart from each other, on opposite sides of a small bay that is slowly being claimed by vegetation. Area One is the northeast loop with 8 sites and a public boat landing. Area Two is the southwest loop with 4 sites. The waterfront sites in Area One do not have lake access due to vegetation growth along the shoreline, while the four waterfront sites in Area Two (9 through 12) have access to open water with plenty of space to beach canoes and kayaks.
