The Chipmunk Rapids Campground sits in a pine and hardwood forest next to the scenic Pine River. Designated a scenic ‘Wild River’ by the State of Wisconsin, the river provides a fun, small-river paddling experience. Paddlers running this section often camp at the Chipmunk Rapids Campground on multi-day trips. An artesian well near the canoe landing flows year-round and produces natural drinking water.

There are 6 non-electric campsites available for tent and RV/trailer camping (max length varies, see list below). All sites are shaded and have a picnic table, fire ring, tent area, and a parking spur. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. All sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The canoe landing (carry-in access) and the artesian well are a short walk from the campground.

Site #5 is in a very scenic setting beneath tall red pines.
