Pines and hardwoods shade this remote campground on the shore of Beaver Lake (34 acres), providing an idyllic northwods 'getaway' camping experience. Hundreds of square miles of forest, bogs, streams, rivers, and more lakes surround the campground. The nearest community, Mellen (Pop. 690), is 12 miles away.
Although motorized boating is allowed on the lake, it’s too small for most boating activities and is ideal for a relaxed float on a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. Anglers will find abundant Panfish.
There are 10 non-electric campsites and each offers plenty of shade. Five sites are tent only and 5 are available for tent and RV/trailer camping; 4 are back-in and one is pull-through (site #6). All sites have a fire ring, picnic table, tent area, and parking spur. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Six sites are reservable.
Despite its small size and remote location, the campground is popular on weekends so reserving a site is recommended.
Lakeside Campsites with Lake Access
5, 7 & 8. Site #4 is not waterfront but does have a footpath to the lake.
