This remote and peaceful recreation area is on the south shore of Morgan Lake (44 acres). The lake is electric motor only and surrounded by a scenic pine, birch, and hardwood forest. The public boat landing is a half-mile west from the campground entrance on Morgam Lake Road.
A shoreline trail runs the length of the campground, extending up the east shore to a spot with huge boulders, tall red pines, and scenic views.
There are 18 campsites that can accommodate a tent and a RV/trailer (max length varies, see list below). Every site is shaded and has a tent area, picnic table, fire ring, and a parking spur. Most campsites are spaced well-apart from each other for pleasant levels of seclusion. Campground amenities include drinking water (hand-pump) and accessible vault toilets. There are no electric hookups. Eight individual sites and the group site are reservable.
A separate group site can accommodate tent camping for up to 25 people and up to 4 vehicles including one RV or camper trailer.
A day use area sits between the family campground and the group campground and features a swimming area with inviting sandy shallows and a shady picnic area with panoramic views of the lake. The day use area can be accessed from both campgrounds and has its own parking lot.
Lakeside Campsites with Lake Access
Several sites are close to the lake and offer partial to open views of the water: 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, & 16. Sites 17 & 18 are set further back with glimpses of the lake through a scenic stand of birch.
Recreation
Morgan Lake Campground has direct access to the large ATV trail systems that run through Florence, Forest and Marinette Counties. ATV use is allowed inside the campground making this a great choice for ATV camping.
