Scenic Boot Lake Campground provides a fun northwoods camping experience on the west shore of a 230-acre lake. The campground is set on rolling terrain with tall red pines and birch providing plenty of shade. Mature pines stand in the middle of many of the sites. The lake has crystal-clear waters and features inviting sandy shallows at the swimming beach, which is one of the better beaches in the Chequamegon-Nicolet. An open lawn with picnic tables is behind the beach.
The campground has 34 shaded, non-electric campsites. All 34 sites are available for tent and RV/trailer camping (back-in only, see list below). Each site has a tent area, fire ring, picnic table and paved parking spur. Campground amenities include drinking water (hand pump) and vault toilets. 21 sites are reservable and 12 are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Site 17 sits by itself in a secluded, shady cul-de-sac at the north end of the campground.
Lakeside Campsites with Lake Access
Sites 1 & 3 are not lakefront but both have footpaths to the lake. Sites 6, 8, 9, and 11 are set back a short distance from the lake on a wooded rise with partial views of the water through the trunks of tall red pines. All four have shoreline access. Sites 13, 14, 15, and 16 are all lakefront and their tent areas are within steps of the lakeshore. Site 16 is in an especially scenic setting and offers the most privacy of the waterfront sites.
The public boat landing is at the south end of the campground and features a paved ramp, launch pier, trailer-turnaround, and a large parking area.
