Spearhead Point campground sits on a small peninsula near the north end of the Mondeaux Flowage, and is one of the most picturesque, lakeside campgrounds in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Most of the lakefront sites are 15 to 25 feet above the level of the flowage among pines, balsam fir, and hemlock. Several south-facing sites are in fantastic settings with open views of the water. Many sites have their own landings with a small pier for fishing or docking personal watercraft.

A lakeside day-use area is across from sites 9 and 10, and features a small, open lawn for picnicking and group activities, an open-sided shelter with two stone fireplaces, and steps leading down to a fishing pier. A developed boat landing is next to site 19 and is mainly used by campers at Spearhead Point. The landing has a wide gravel ramp and a small turnaround area, but no parking.

The campground has 27 non-electric campsites. 25 can accommodate tents and RV/trailers (back-in only, see list below) and 2 are tent-only. Every site is shaded and has a tent area, picnic table and fire ring. Campground amenities include drinking water and accessible vault toilets. 15 sites are reservable and 12 are first-come, first-served. Site #16 is the campground host.
