Just east of Woodruff, inside the Northern Highlands - American Legion State Forest.

TRAIL NOTES
The Madeline Lake Ski Trail is a beautiful northwoods, stacked-loop trail system that surrounds three small lakes. The trails are groomed and tracked for classic only and meander through a mixed forest of conifers and hardwoods. Tall pines, spruce, and balsam fir often border the trails.
The terrain offers long flat stretches, gentle rollers and several hills. There are two descents that will challenge most intermediate skiers.

The entire trail system lies within the Northern Highlands-American Legion State Forest.

DIRECTIONS
From the Hwy 70 & County J intersection in Woodruff, go east on County J for 1.8 miles and turn north (left) onto Rudolph Rd. Then go north for 0.8 miles and the trailhead parking lot is on the east (right) side of the road.
