Day Lake, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
The Day Lake Campground is situated in a beautiful pine forest next to a 632-acre lake. The campground is a popular family favorite that offers a scenic, shady day use area with a swimming beach, picnic area and boat launch. The lake features an undeveloped, pine-covered shoreline and numerous small islands and bays making it ideal for exploring from either a canoe or kayak. There’s also great fishing!
The family campground has 52 individual sites, three are walk-in tent sites. 49 sites can accommodate tents and/or an RV up 24-to-45 feet (max length varies). Each site has a tent pad, parking spur, picnic table and fire ring. Six sites are paved with a paved path to the fishing pier. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. There are no electric hookups. All 52 sites are reservable. Day Lake CG is a 15-minute drive east from the Forest Lodge Nature Trail.

East Twin Lake, Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
East Twin Lake features a beautiful, secluded campground next to a 110-acre lake. The lake has a densely forested shoreline and offers excellent panfish, bass and musky fishing. The shady day-use area has a picnic area and a fishing pier.
The campground is popular despite its small size - only ten sites. Eight of the sites have gorgeous lake views and all offer at least partial shade. One site is tent-only, nine can accommodate tents and/or an RV up to 25-to-40 feet (max length varies). Each site has a tent pad, parking spur, picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. There are no electric hookups. All ten sites are reservable. East Twin Lake CG is a 20-minute drive east from the Forest Lodge Nature Trail.
