TRAIL NOTES
This beautiful trail system is considered by many to offer the best classic-ski trails in the area in terms of scenery and terrain, especially for intermediates. Nordic Woods is a stacked loop system that wanders through a remote wilderness area with several small lakes. A dense forest of northern hardwoods and mixed conifers surround the entire trail. Skiers will occasionally be rewarded with scenic lake views.
All of the trails are groomed and tracked for classic with some groomed for skate and classic, though the strength of this system is in its excellent classic trails. Most of the trails are well-rated for intermediates with one short loop for beginners at the County B Parking Lot (south entry). There are two adirondak shelters on the trail.
